Leading Portadown business, Craigmore Industrial and Engineering Solutions, has completed a £20,000 deal to provide a state-of-the-art welding machines to one of the country’s leading engineering firms Redrock Machinery Ltd.

The new contract is to provide five EWM 400 amp welding machines to the Armagh-based company, which will assist in the modernisation of existing machinery for their production process.

Redrock Machinery produce a range of agricultural equipment from slurry handling solutions, silage and grain trailers, silage blockcutters, vertical feeders, vari-cut mixer feeders, to specialist trailers. The Redrock range has been sold and used with great success throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe over many years and in more recent days new markets have been developed in South Africa, Middle East, Far East and New Zealand

Craigmore, was founded in 1990, and throughout its 24 year history, the company has been selling welding equipment, power washers, sweepers, scrubber-driers, safety wear, workshop tools and cleaning products from Karcher, SIP, 3M, Arrow, Nielsen and other leading brands to the public and businesses.

Geoff Baird, Managing Director of Craigmore said, “Redrock Machinery is an outstanding business which Craigmore has been proud to service for over 20 years.

“Throughout those years, we have supplied a wide range of engineering products which have performed a key role in their manufacturing process.

“For this particular contract, we were are asked to demonstrate and price our equipment as competitively as possible, which with our buying power, we were able to do.
“I am delighted to say that the end user and the management are very happy with both the performance of the EWM products and the price we offered.

The engineering sector and consumables currently makes up around 25 percent of Craigmore’s business and new developments and advances in the EWM, Karcher and Ehrle ranges of machinery, alongside the changes in the economy have enabled them to penetrate new markets such as agriculture, food, hospitality and tourism.

Craigmore Industrial & Engineering Solutions employs 13 people and is located in CarnIndustrial Estate, Portadown.
