Local Nutritionist Set to Ignites Northern Ireland’s Get Up and Go

Has your get up and go, got up and gone?

Do you constantly grab fast food, prepare ‘comfort food’ and as a result constantly feel zapped of energy?

Well, you are not alone, according to the Royal College of Psychiatrists at any given time, one in five people feel unusually tired, and one in 10 have prolonged fatigue, with diet being a major contributory factor.

Local expert nutritionist Jane McClenaghan is tackling this issue head-on with the launch of her new cookbook; The Vital Nutrition Cookbook, packed full of easy-to-follow, delicious recipes and tips for energy and vitality.

Speaking at the launch of The Vital Nutrition Cookbook Jane explained, “I have a life-long love of food and am passionate about the powerful affects that eating good quality, fresh, local food has on our mind, body and soul.

“But I am also mindful of the busy, time-poor and cash-strapped hectic lives that many of us lead.

“My biggest aim with the new book is to inject a little positivity and fun back into the kitchen, give readers an understanding of how a low GI diet has the power to replenish their zest for life, as well as ideas on how to eat well on a budget. This combined with over fifty deliciously mouth-watering recipes, to help vitalise energy levels and ignite people’s energy levels.”

Jane concluded, “Eating well should be a way of life and I truly believe that by making small changes to everyday eating habits, that people can soon get a spring back into their step, lose weight and ultimately prolong their life.”

Jane has been a Nutritional Therapist for over fifteen years and in that time has helped thousands of people to make easy, manageable changes to their diets for the good of their health, she grew up in family where growing, cooking and eating simple, healthy food was part of the fabric of life.

As well as her busy clinic at Framar Health in Belfast, she runs cookery classes, wellbeing workshops and specialises in developing corporate health programmes for companies all over Ireland.
